Unless you can get Mr. Spock to beam you into your hooker's hotel room, there is really no possiblity for total anonymity during the trip

Denver has one of the best public transportation systems in the country. Or you could take a taxi. Or ride your bike. Certainly those are viable possibilities for those among us who want to be extremely careful.

True. I wonder how many would actually go through that trouble. As for biking, that could get pretty sweaty and negate the fresh shower, eh?

I take the light rail to sessions all the time. Not for any kind of privacy concerns, but because I don't like driving on I-25 or downtown during busy times. It also frees me up to share a glass of wine or 2, without having to worry about getting a DUI on the way home.

hey outlook,

as a relative newcomer, your best bet might be p411. although i'm not that familiar with it, my impression is they require a lot of the info you listed.

I agree with this totally. P411 is a great tool and makes screening really easy. They will require you to give up that personal information, however there is an up side.

- P411 does the screening, you give it to them once, and that's it.

- You can trust that P411 won't give out your personal info to providers. The reason P411 exists is to do the screening for the providers.

- Once you're a member, you can even see what info the providers can see, so you know how much they know about you personally.

- There is a yearly membership fee but it's totally worth it for the peace of mind.

- The OK system is absolutely amazing. No more having to keep track of references!

Anyone who's not signed up should just bite the bullet, it's worth it.

Hi all, I am new to TOB so I am sorry if this has already been covered. I am also fairly new to being a hobbyist. I had a provider that I saw once without giving her any personal information. She has now moved on and I am looking to find someone new to spend my time with. I am nervous about giving out too much personal information, as with most hobbyist if my habit is discovered I have a lot to lose. I know you providers are doing what you can in order to feel safe and secure with who you spend your time with. I am asking veteran hobbyists, would you give out the following information? Ladies your feedback is also welcome. Thanks.

First & last name

Name of Business

Business number

Web site of business

Position in company

Best number to contact you

Sign up for p411 or date-check.. Do it once to a screening company.. It is private and trusted amongst thousands of hobbyists and providers..WORTH IT.. This is where you will find the legit ,plentiful lovely ladies with no ?'s, 99% great reviews and no drama.. Ladies are also screened and plenty are turned down..thank goodness for unbiased paid sites..LOL (eros-guide..bp..cityvibe ect ect).keep in mind the advertising ladies NEVER get your info either, Just handles/board names) and hobby till you cant hobby no more love...screw the hassle and unknown ?'s love this is time to have unattached fun..

Blackmail is very rare. Blackmail is a felony. Providers are not the type of ppl to do that.

Getting a hobby fon is fine if it makes you feel more secure. Just make sure it's a tracphone or some other fon that will let you keep your number without feeding it. Not one of those fons that changes your number after 30 days if you didn't buy a card for it.

Keep in mind that even tho you are paying, this is still an interaction between a man and a woman. If she feels safe, she will open up to you more. Isn't that what you want, to have a relaxed, smiling woman to spend time with?

Thank you! We all know an alcoholic/addict or a homosexual person and those are both about 10% of the population. How many people know a person who was blackmailed in the hobby? I know it happens but I don't think it's as prevalent as some perpetuate. I understand covering ones bases but I don't think this is an issue one should lose sleep over. Join P411 or pick a few reputable provider to see with the thought that they will open the door via references. If you're still too paranoid, I would suggest frisbee golf. You can still get a hole in one, it's just less satisfying.:P

I find myself wondering how many providers who think it's safe to give personal information wear their seat belts when they drive their car. after all, the odds of getting into a car crash are hundreds of thousands to 1. if the odds of finding a psycho provider were really that high these threads wouldn't ever get started.

A review posted today indicates how a provider is willing to blackmail the reviewer is she isn't paid by putting out his personal information. Not sure what information he provided, but she did have his license number. So it does happen even if it is rare.

First of all, blackmail is only one of the possibilities. Johns have been outed on a number of occasions ON THIS BOARD. That's not blackmail -- that's just vindictive. Not a felony. And some providers are OBVIOUSLY the type of "ppl" to do that.

You underestimate the vindictiveness of a provider receiving a bad review.

As others have mentioned, several examples of providers doing nasty things to get back at guys have been posted. Do a quick search on FRUGGER. See how his life has improved since shit was posted on the net.

"Providers are not the type of people to do that". No, some are much worse.

Sorry Rachel, but you are naive to think that.

And as NaughtyNiceGuy pointed out, as if on cue, we see a new review today in which an ASP threatened, "You are on camera and I know your license plate number" or words to that effect.

I certainly believe Ink and others who have seen the vindictiveness. I also believe that the vast majority of ladies have neither the time or motivation to blackmail and/or carry out grudges. That said, all it takes is one, or a few.

I never give out anything but my fake name (why not, the girls do it, and its kind of fun to role play), my trac phone that I activated from a pay phone and that I recharge with cards bought with cash, and my gmail, that I always access through a browser and never through an app.

This is not because I fear the ladies, it is because every time they bust a provider, the news stories indicate that the police seized a list of "... more than 500 prominent citizens ... " Ladies, I love you all and have met some really great people (and no bad people), but the truth is that some of you are a bit scattered, and I simply don't trust you to fully discard my information, clean your hard drives to DOT specifications, delete your text and e-mail messages, etc.

Frankly, I think anyone who says that P411 wants lots of information must not have registered with P411, since I have been a member for several years and I know that I never violated any of my paranoia - induced rules of operation.

Yes, I do park blocks away and walk to appointments (I also leave my wallet and real phone in the car, etc.)

Hey, I don't want to know anything about the ladies other than their reviews and P411 information, so I figure it is fair to keep my information secret, other than my OKs and P411 information. Half the fun is the fantasy (OK, maybe 1/4 of the fun).

P4 is your best option.

You might want to get a hobby phone too.

The ladies that you give your personal info to should be well reviewed verified providers with stellar reputations. "they have a reputation to uphold."

The fact of the matter is that hobbyists have vastly more resources at their disposal than escorts.

So, go ahead, blackmail away. I'd have lawyers up your azz so fast, you wouldn't know what hit ya. (not directed at you, of course, just speaking generally).

Does the average hooker really want to drag an angry dude into the courtroom?

You know the old Chinese saying: Sleeping lion no poke with stick.

You guys are pussies. Call her bluff. Happened to me. I called it. Case closed. There was no need to escalate.

Grow a pair. Jesus.
