Decapitated models vs Google Image Search

4 posts in this topic

This is a brief public service announcement to say:

(1) You shouldn't cut off the heads of models (for use in escort ads), that's just wrong.

(2) If you insist on posting pictures of models with the tops of their heads cut off, sorry, Google Image Search may still show where you got the pictures from.

Example: recent BP ad with nine (count 'em) decapitated models:

Google Image Search identified the pictures (as many as I checked) as originating from "Diva's Ave Boutique" http://www.divasaveboutique.com/, and re-attached the tops of the heads (on behalf of the models, I say "thank you"). Example of pic with restored head: http://www.divasaveboutique.com/images/zoom7.jpg

Here's the thing: usually you don't need google image search to figure out it's a fake: thin, young, nice-looking, good photography with good lighting - the likelihood that this is a real working girl is so slim, I won't even bother with google image search or tineye. I get these kinds of "truncated" pics all the time in responses to my ads on CL - Hi, I saw your ad, here's a pic of me...yarite.

What 2Big said.

Plus: most horny guys trolling Backpage don't know about the advanced ho trolling skills, such as TinEye, Google Image, et al., so, those photos do get the job done, suckering in the Average Joe.

I generally agree with the above, but I was amused by my own concept that the photos show "models with their heads cut off". (Yes, sometimes I'm easily amused.) Per 2Big's comment:

... I remember a few cases in past years of seeing photos like that in an escort ad, and finding that the girl was exactly the same as the photos. HOWEVER, thinking back, those "lucky hits" were mostly from a few agencies with good reputations (that no longer exist), not random Backpage ads from unknown posters.

To return to the ad I mentioned (http://colorado.backpage.com/FemaleEscorts/mouthwatering-sensual-upscale-provider-stop-dreaming-lets-make-22/11787026): if you take a few moments to look carefully at the photo set, including clothing, lighting, and backgrounds, it seems rather obvious that these photos were created for the purpose of selling the fancy clothes that the models are showing off. Of course, the average "horny guy" who is new to escort ads, and not yet cynical and suspicious, might not notice those features ("umm, the girl was wearing different clothes and there were backgrounds?? I don't remember that part" :P)
