Totaling up the cost of a "traditional" date vs. a paid date

Went on a "real" date this past week and was lucky enough to seal the deal and had what I would consider very good sex at the end of it. She made it be known that she is a go for future booty calls too. With that said, I was adding everything up today and was a bit surprised at just how much it cost me. The cost/benefit analysis is as follows:

Uploading a personal ad to an online match making service: 50.00

Amount of time invested before even getting her to go out with me? 3 emails, 1 instant messager conversation, 2 telephone calls, endless text messages. If time is money and I invested at least 10 hours in this and you figure my time is worth at bare minimum a VERY modest 10.00 per hour, there is 100.00

Dinner at a decent restaurant including tip 70.00

Taking her to a hotel nearby after dinner (We men know it is no small feat to have accomplished this on the first date so I'm quite proud of this) 70.00

All said and done over 2 weeks invested and 190.00 out of pocket along with the ridiculous amount of work it takes.

This girl knows full well that I want nothing serious and I'm just looking to have a good time, JUST as a paid date would know. She was cute with a nice figure, very girl next doorish, where as a paid date likely would have been a bit more attractive. This girl gave TERRIBLE head, where as a paid date would likely be much better.

All in all I think I've decided it's just downright cheaper in the end to rent my next date

From a cost benefit analysis, your costs will be going down a little with each subsequent date. But the TERRIBLE head is a big red flag. No such thing a BAD head? I suppose this has to be factored in as well, but I really don't know how or where to put the obvious dilution. Is it really a cost in tutorials? Sounds like fun to me!!!

I agree with others who have posted here, if you play this right future "dates" might not cost a thing and just involve dropping by for some fun or something minimal like the cost of getting a pizza delivered. With regard to the bad head, think of it as a training opportunity. With hours of practice I am sure she would be much improved and you will have done a service to mankind as well.

Lastly, don't rule out friends. She has girl friends, over time you might meet them and when you and your new friend are over, they might be a source of future entertainment (or threesomes now if she is open minded).

I actually function opposite of this. When I'm on the "paid" date, I know I'll have fun until the hour is over, and it cost me $$.

On a real date, I used to add in my head. $40 for drinks, $115 for dinner, $30 cover charge, $80 for more drinks, $15 for a flower, and then I go home to Rosie Palms, because she's "tired". During the date we're doing the "potential boyfriend" interview: "How much do you make?" Do you own your own place?" "What happened with your last girlfriend?'" "Have you been married?".

$280 out of pocket, 6 wasted hours, and no sex.

As a few like fork and pizzaman have mentioned, your cost/benefit analysis is missing a few important factors. A poker player would say that you're failing to take into account the "implied odds." Yes, a $50 dinner date with a civilian could result in nothing for you but a full belly, and you could have multiple first dates with that same result. But if you connect with a civilian and hit it off, you could be in for tons of FREE (or at least really low cost) sex from that girl, over the course of many months or maybe even years, if you so choose. Conversely, no matter how great an encounter with an escort is, she's ALWAYS going to charge you $250 every time you fuck her (unless you're Demure Morman or something ).

If you find that good fuck buddy/girlfriend, you could have sex with her hundreds of times, an amount that would cost you many, many thousands of dollars with escorts.

If your story is as you claim, that she fucked you on the first date after you made it clear you don't want anything serious, and she is open to future booty calls, it's not going to cost you what it cost you already to fuck her again! In fact, I don't see how it is going to cost you ANYTHING to fuck her again, just give her a call. But honestly, you story doesn't really add up, this all seems like a transparent ploy to suck up to the escorts on here, or rationalize all this to yourself. So, uh, good job?

Real date leads to extended relationship, which adds a significant multiplier to the real date side. If it ends in a long term relationship, add vacations and all kinds of other stuff. If it leads to wedding and kids and house, the multiplier become logarithmic. I won't bore you with the calculation details, but even with an addictive hobby habit, the hobby to a real date is as a gnat is to the solar system.
