"Escort" does not mean FS.

Escort doesn't mean fs, in the same way that fbsm doesn't mean: I'm gonna jack you off.

"Escort" does not mean FS.

That's ridiculous. FS is synonymous with "Escort". Just like FBSM is synonymous with HJ.

Only in your own mind, Baby...There are tons of girls out there that escort and don't do FS with anyone. Is it right or wrong? Who knows. I don't care. Not my business. But to assume it means you are gonna get that without doing your homework is a huge mistake. And to assume that any girl who doesn't do FS is going to give you a body rub is also stupid. Jus' sayin'.

"Escort" doesn't even mean Adult Sexual Provider of any flavor, FS or FBSM. There are escorts whose sole function is to show you a good time around town, dinner, drinks, dancing, theater, etc. and never get involved in bedroom gymnastics. High priced escorts too! They are hired for their good looks and local knowledge.

Just as assuming geisha implied an ASP you would be wrong a very large majority of the time, almost always in modern times.

Just because you can argue a point on "plausible" terms doesn't mean you're right. It just makes you argumentative.

Interview 100 people on the street and ask them what an "escort" is, and I have no doubt every one of them would say "prostitute".

I suppose now you're going to argue that "prostitute" does not equal FS...?

Why did you ask if you won't accept the answer? You got an answer from a well known, well respected "escort" who has been in the business for awhile now.

Whether you want to believe it or not, there are gentlemen that compensate for time and companionship. I have several Gentlemen friends like that.

There are so many posts on the board encouraging research/homework, and the old saying, "don't assume anything".

WTF are you talking about? In case you didn't notice, I'm not the OP.

Of course I believe it. I never said otherwise. We're debating this within the context of an ASP website.

What I do NOT believe is that a single advertiser on this site, or others like it, are making a living from "good looks and local knowledge" only.

And THAT is what the OP was asking about, not a hypothetical "companionship only" escort who would never advertise here in the first place.

You might care to check definition #3.

If you want to be that pedantic, you could argue that "Full Service" has nothing to do with prostitutes. There are full service gas stations, for example.

But, in an effort to stay on topic -- I'm sure the OP wasn't interested in your anal-retentive need to thrust technical definitions in his face. I think he was asking a simple question -- why would a body-rub provider advertise under an "escort" heading. Especially when most people (all but you, I guess) understand what the difference is, despite quotations from Merriam-Webster.

Hmmm...I'd argue that it proves to be a good advertising forum. Why is there a liquor store next to every Whole Foods?

This business is vague and unregulated...and yet no one ever submits complaints to the BBB. Why is that:confused:

My basic point was that definitions, especially those that everybody 'knows', are slippery. There are "escorts" who don't provide sex and there are FBSM providers who have been known to provide more extensive services on occasion. Hence the adages about RESEARCH.

The implication is clear - an "escort" board is generally considered FS. That's why there's a body-rub page in the first place.

Because you responded in agreement, I assumed you had the same question and opinion. Guess I'm the ass.

Anyhow, the question has been answered.;)

By definition #3 , almost everyone could be called a prostitute.

Yep! In my professional life I always tried to enjoy what I did and there y wild fitting #3, but there are things one will do for dependents.

Nobody has posted any link, or provided evidence, that disputes the point that the vast majority of "escorts" are prostitutes, in the sense that term is commonly understood, namely, as a person who exchanges sexual activities for money.

I'm not denying that in the wild blue yonder of this planet, women occasionally act as paid companions for men who need such company for a variety of social functions.

I'm also not denying the existence of four-leaf clovers.

Back to the OP: Do your homework, read the reviews, backchannel reviewers to get the "real deal". My experience is that with very few exceptions bodyrubs are usually not worth it. Pay the additional info, get the full service experience, then ask for a massage. It's the same shit.

Aloha

I'm not sure to "what" escort section you are referring to, so i'll try to explain it.

Escort Boards does not offer a Body Rub section for advertising, BR are lumped with all advertising

SoWet only allows Spas to advertise separately. Body Rubs and Indi/Agency ads are also lumped together

Backpage does separate Body Rubs and Escort advertising

I'm not sure if ECCIE separates BR ads and Escort ads or not

So, depending upon which site you were referring to, in most cases, the advertiser has no option where they can post an ad. Meaning, research by the consumer is required.

Hope that helps

Probably the same reason people stretch the truth on their resumes', lie about the biggest fish they caught (sorry boink), or lie about their best round of golf! Because they can!

I know we are all splitting hairs here, but here's a link

From the link:

An escort is a service by beautiful women and handsome men who are hired for entertainment purposes.

In that case, the TOB community should welcome with open arms Denver Ladies and the ilk agencies, cause that's all they're advertising.
