The dirty deed is done.

17 posts in this topic

I wrote awhile back about sex after the Prostate is removed. Well the deed is done and now I am in position to find out for myself. They have me on a low daily dosage of Cialis to promote blood flow and help with healing. I still have a few weeks to go before I can try anything. Not that I feel like I could do anything right now as I am still quite sore from the surgery. Hopefully enough nerves were spared and things will work. May be a bit of a challenge...

Here's to your speedy and hopefully full recovery!!

If you have a lady you have spent a bit of time with, contact her to help you get back in the saddle.

I know it's not the same, but I contacted a long time friend after having a vasectomy. She was happy to help me "clear the pipes". And was gentle with the boys at the same time.

Again, much different surgery, but I'm sure your friend will be as patient as necessary to help you out.

I wish you the best and fastest of recoveries, and nothing but well wishes when you dive back in. Remember, visual stimulants and feathers, always fun :).

Hi there! Everything will be okay! I hear good things about Cialis, I have lots of medical experience in my day job.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement and well wishes. They told me to wait 4 to 6 weeks before trying so a couple more weeks. In the mean time I can read some reviews and try to find someone to work with me.

Thanks everyone:)

hey lake,

it must be a real scary time for you. thanks for bringing up the topic here, since it's something that more than a few of your fellow hobby horses will face sooner or later. Mt. Sinai Hospital is doing a big research project on post-op prostatectomy patients at all stages of the process, so maybe look into them, among others, for the latest in medical advances.

i wish you well on firing that silver bullet.

Let me add my good wishes. Most of us will face some medical choices which may effect our hobbies. Good luck with your recovery.

Also want to add my best wishes. Not only do you have the "guy stuff" worries associated with this surgery, but I'm assuming that the surgery was cancer related.

Cancer can be beat. I spent a year in chemotherapy (for a different cancer type) and was only given a 1 in 4 chance of surviving. Many years later I'm still here.

Hang in there & good luck.

This is my second round with cancer I have been through having a port installed in my chest for heavy chemo and radiation. SO far it hasn't come back. Now this, but they feel they got it all. Long story but in a nutshell the company I worked for exposed us to more chemicals than they would admit. They kicked me to the curb when I got sick. Big company and most lawyers don't have the resources to fight them. At least I am still breathing some of my co-workers were not so lucky.
