Handguns with you

83 posts in this topic

Do you leave them in the vehical or carry them in? I for one have a few with me at all times and at least one on my person at all times. Providers get kind of sketchy when the big .45 gets taken off with the clothes. Some haven't even noticed , while others say nobody else has ever brought them in. I remember Destiny had a death threat of sorts a couple years back and I offered her a handgun for protection for the day(she declined BTW) So are there any other second amendment hobbyists who have CCP?

Those who are comfortable with guns shouldn't forget that some people's blood runs cold when they see a gun, even in the holster of a friend.

Maybe the question is for the ladies. But it seems incredibly insensitive to bring a gun into someone's private space (home, hotel, incall) without them being aware and OK with it in advance.

I have a CCP and I'm inclined to agree with Fork that it's their private space and we should respect that. Especially since the firearm is unlikely to remain concealed as activities progress :)

I'd leave it in the car. If the incall is someplace where I can't be comfortable without a weapon for an hour, I don't want to be there anyway.

But I also would be curious to hear what the ladies have to say on the issue.

Maybe if they actually "READ" my P411 profile they would know in advance and could decline the appointment too.

That's fair enough, if it's something you disclose there and you only book through P411.

I love guns but there's a time and place for everything...

(Client X and I had previously went to the range on a date, so he knew I how much I like guns:))

On a different day he brought like 3 or 4 guns in a bag to my hotel to show them too me.

He also had a gun in his back holster, he just laid it on the desk all out and in the open:eek:

it was staring at me for that entire hour:eek:.

Needless to say when he tried to schedule again I told him it was time for him to find someone else.

I vote for leaving it in the car.

IMO there is absolutely NO reason to bring a gun into a session.

I would like to add that I am a firm believer in the right to carry guns, own guns, shoot guns and a firm believer in our Second Amendment, but there is a time and place.

+1 for Melissa.

I am considering getting a CCP, but I would not have my weapons out in the open with a guest. I guess it could come across as an implied threat, but only because I don't know you. I am around loaded guns sitting out all of the time, but I am also very familiar with the peronalities in the house. Hope that makes sense.;)

For what possible reason would you need to bring a gun to an appointment? If you feel that your life is in that much danger (like, the mafia is out to get you or you pissed off some gang or drug dealer or something) I'd suggest not seeing a provider. If not, leave the gun at home for the day, or for the several hours of going to the appointment at least.

In reality, anyone of true danger (gangs, criminals, terrorists, corrupt cops, former military men gone crazy, militant survivalists, etc.) is going to have a much better weapon that a measly .45 handgun and won't be concerned in the least that you have one. It's not really a valid form of self defense against modern threats anyway, so what's the point in carrying to an appointment? If the girl is a rob and a guy is there ready to help her, they probably have better and more guns than you anyway (10-gauge sawed-offs, or even various fully-automatic assault weapons, are not as hard to obtain on the street as one might hope, judging from police weapon-seizure statistics). If that's not the concern, then what is the concern?

Yes, but i would never carry it into some
one elses house.

This is the key point. I understand that I have been invited into someone's private space.... whether home or hotel. Even those ladies who profess an interest in firearms would have to specifically request to see my toys before I brought them in.

Now, outcalls to my place is a differant matter.

Bringing a gun to an illegal business deal sounds like a GREAT idea that has never taken a wrong turn. I am all about the Second Amendment but the only "protection" I want a client bringing is a condom.

Unless you're an officer of the law, carrying a gun around makes you look like a fool.

No, really, it does.

Leave the gun in a gun safe at the range. Stop trying to channel Wyatt Earp.

The problem isn't the bringing of the gun. The problem is that a significant portion of those carrying one are liable to shoot themselves, innocent bystanders, or the family dog.

Does a provider really want a guy in her crib who is fumbling with his belt and holster while hopped up on viagra?

yea, i always leave it in the car(locked glove box). It can only make a bad situation worse. I think thats a way to make two nervous ppl a little more nervous, i would hate to make an ASP feel unsafe or even scared. If i get a bad feeling about a incall i just dont go in.

I only pack one shooter to an appt.

But seriously, 2Big is right. Past weekend saw an effeminate "artist" try to play Dirty Harry to scare off a homeless man and ended shooting a 24 yr kid who was using a pay phone nearby.

If correct screening is done by the hobbiest....I don't see a reason for bringing it in the incall. If the location is uncomfortable to the point you have to bring it in....you shouldn't be there anyway. I have to say....I would be kinda sketchy if a guy brought a gun in my incall. Weither you are a verified hobbiest or not.....its not ok. I would be very uncomfortable. You have guys out there that may be nice 1 time...but not so much on another time. Times are hard out here (money wise) I know this....and if a guy comes into my incall w a gun, my 1st thought, he is ganna rob me, and the session most likely will not go smoothly, just because I'll be uncomfortable. JMO :)

I travel a lot and yes I do have a Concealed Carry Permit. 99.9% of the time no one has a clue I do not make it obvious. For times that I do not feel the need or the law prohibits (like in a bar) I have a gun safe mounted in my car with a biometric lock. To answer the original question no it stays in the safe. Other than the obvious respect for the lady. If I am going to be in my birthday suit romping around a hotel room I would not be in control of my weapon the last thing I want is to get shot with my own gun.

I, for one, would possibly have a heart attack if a client brought a gun inside my in call.

Okay, I am being extreme, but that oversteps boundaries IMO.

If a Client asked if he could bring it in, I wouldn't see that client.

I agree with 2Big - too many unforeseen accidents with handguns and I am not ready to become a handgun statistic:p

Firearms and escorts? Sounds like either a bad B movie or a 6 o'clock news special waiting to happen. Like driving and alcohol, neither is bad in itself. They just don't mix.

There IS intelligent life here! I like a man with masterful control of his weapon ;-)

To most everyone but the OP and those whose posts include the word "lock" or "locked," I'm surprised at the responses. Then again, I'm not surprised.

It does take a bit to keep a straight face and not say, "Where is it safer for me to walk alone at night--Chicago, or Vermont?" or, "Everyone with a CCP should only carry when they really need to, and otherwise keep their gun in a gun safe at the range or at home. Or leave it in your vehicle. When you hear your car alarm going off, you can just run out to see what's going on..."

Straight face isn't holding up too well. Seriously, if I were a hobbyist, I would prefer to see gals who are CCP friendly, as they are likely to be smart gals who value personal safety. To the ladies: I can't think of a better way to weed out felons, DV perps, and those who have spent time in mental institutions.

I do like to be informed in advance if someone has a CCP. Who knows, in case it turns out we both have the afternoon free, there's nothing like a day at the range.

However, anyone without a CCP who is carrying is not welcome and had better not try to visit. Illegal guns get zero tolerance, as it gives the Mayor Daleys of the world additional ammo ;-) BTW, if you've been looking for the "Shooting or Sodomy" video clip, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW44TH7sQ-M

I'm adding a CCP Discount to my P411 profile. Writing this has got me a little fired up, in a very nice way.

No, really, it doesn't. There is a reason why it's called CONCEALED carry.

I can understand someone who has been around guns all their life and who regularly carries a gun having one with them if they are going into a rough neighborhood or a shady hotel . . . but there is no need for a cannon on your hip, and it is very uncool to casually let a stranger see you have a gun. That girl does not know you -- you might be a psycho or a thug for all she knows. A lot of people have also had very traumatic experiences with guns. That is disrespectful and inconsiderate.

If you feel the need to carry a gun with you, that gun better be small enough to fit in your pocket, and the girl should never even know it is there. Seriously uncool to let some girl -- who is probably already a bit nervous if she doesn't know you -- see a gun on your hip or in a shoulder rig.

If you arrive at the incall and it is some crackhead motel and you have a bad feeling, just bail. Trying to "save a buck" by getting the $70 special off an unknown provider on backpage with fake pics is never a good idea. You do not need to worry about your safety if you're seeing an established provider with good reviews, and there is no need to show up at her incall armed. Only someone with a screw loose would show up with a gun on their hip and expect the girl to be cool about it. Guns scare people for good reason.

Wow. This thread blew me away. The whole reason I am on TOB, EB, P411 et al. is so I don't have to be so paranoid that I would ever even consider bringing a gun to a session.

I own quite a few guns, no CCP though, and I can shoot and hunt with the best of them.

In fact there have been a time or two I was with someone that has a CCP and a gun, and I was glad they did. But if I ever thought I needed to bring a gun to a session, there's no way I would even schedule the session.

Okay I'm gonna really date myself now: Make love, not war baby!

Leave your guns at home. Well, all of them except the one that's permanently attached to your body. That's the only one that you'll be needing.

This is my rifle, and this is my gun. One is for shooting and one is for fun.

Seriously, if someone is compelled to take a weapon to a session, CCP notwithstanding, they would probably be better served spending their $$ on more bullets or more therapy.
