Does not really sound like a double standard to me, it sounds like a traditional dating attitude. You ask a woman out to dinner. The man traditionally picks up the check. In this case, "the check" for the meeting DATE is the cost of someone's ticket. So her request seems quite normal to me. Now, I suppose you COULD be concerned that if you buy her a ticket she might cash it in or not use it. Frankly, I consider that unlikely since she suggested you come see her, but maybe its your concern. In that event, suggest she buy her own ticket and explain that you will reimburse her when she actually arrives. That seems reasonable.

Actually, that is NOT what I am making reference to. I am literally talking about TOB 15-20 years ago. You were not here then. The forum was a constant blaze of flaming and attacks with probably a dozen or more regular "flame thrower" experts, and many others who would get drawn in. It makes spats on here nowadays look like nothing.

Suddenly you see she has business practices\procedures that don't work for you ...."NEXT!" Move on. Don't expect or try to get her to change for you. While on the subject, maintain that mindset when reading reviews. "These reviews indicate that she does not offer what I want....." " NEXT!" Two words. Economic Contraction. In any sport, hobby, business, economic endeavor, when the economy takes hits....it\they CONTRACT. You are right about that. In many places the number of Delta infections is equal among both the vaccinated and un-vaccinated. In the Massachusetts outbreak, 75% were vaccinated. Then there is Lambda variant emerging. Shut downs are imminent. Australia, a nation of 25 million has been totally shut down for 200 days, despite averaging only 300-400 cases per day. They are building "quarantine camps" for the un-vaccinated as we speak. The proper "language" is circulating through the medical community. I have this week spoken to several people who are fully vaccinated but have been told to wear masks because of "the multiple variant factor"

I would'nt worry too much about that. China has the largest, most modern and advanced naval fleet by a huge margin. Other nations ships are only there to saber rattle and would not dare do more.

Well this is all quite interesting. So a PERSON in the hobby is vaxxed. OK. However, they "require" that any people they see are also vaxxed. Sorry, but that does not make any sense. If your vax works, it does not matter. If your vax does NOT work, than neither does theirs and it still does not matter. Before anyone goes all off on "variants bred by unvaxxed" tangents I suggest looking into the British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth currently deployed in the Indian Ocean. 100% of the 1600 man crew is fully double vaccinated. They also have 100 crew sick with Delta.....a one in 16 infection rate...the highest rate anywhere in the history of Covid. What does that tell you?
