  1. When you see a provider/client out in the public?

I use to run into clients at their place of work, sometimes at grocery store, baseball game, car show, Walmart, Comic-Con (and other similar conventions), bars, night club, traffic jam, even concerts. A majority of the time it was a quick subtle nod or eyebrow raise of acknowledgment, sometimes just a smile between myself and the individual hobbiest/client. Never so much as a word spoken though out of privacy and respect. However a small number of the clients i use to see from TOB had became good social friends or became life long friends outside of the hobby. Those clients (most of them single or widowed) I would treat it like I do seeing any friend, a cheerful hello, wave, whatever, maybe a brief chat and on my way to whatever I was doing. I never had to worry about bumping into people from TOB when with my SO of 19yrs because I actually met him on here. 😳☺️ So he was already cool with the occasional bump into others. Back then we also use to hold monthly socials at a public bar that thought the group was just a adult singles dating club. So between that and having a live text chat room available for everyone to join and use back then on here, I guess it kinda normalized things for several of the people who would bump into each other in public. I miss the yearly Halloween parties and socials a bit. Always thought what we had in the early 2000’s was something real special within the TOB community. I do still have a few life long friends from here who have finally gotten hitched whose spouses do not know about this hobby or TOB. With those friends, we never chat about how we met, what we use to do, anything about the past encounters we have had. When their spouses inquire, usually they are told we use to be old work friends, pen pals, or old neighbors. Same deal with a few of the higher profile athletes, musicians, and actors I’ve met. Mums the word on how we really met, or that we know each other. Privacy and trust should always be in the front of one’s mind if bumping into a client or provider. Im not sure how much has changed since my retirement many yrs ago, but my advice would be, you recognize someone from here, be discrete, maybe send a private message to each other later when you get home. Common sense and discretion are all ya need. Enjoy the private moment, maybe don’t stare/rubberneck or say anything in public. It’s just common courtesy and respect for everyone who participates within this hobby. Never had an issue running into people I’ve spent time with from TOB thankfully.

You are correct! And I’m a total champion at that game. Just remember, thats TWO for flinching.
  5. Personal opinion, Gents if you got an oil can, you’ve been gifted with something that can be mistaken for a bridge, or you’ve been denied the monster card and given a straw when out Johnson’s, were issued or latex makes ya itchy, either bring your own or ask in advance if your provider supplies a variety of protection for those days when a guy just didn’t have time to “pump it up” and grab a tarp (or finger cots) before popping on over for a visit. Ladies, honestly, consider buying some variety.....in bulk online. You’ll know where they came from, expiration dates, latex vs non and and all that. I know cost of living vs donations vs cost of everything needed to be ready and maintain yourself to provide an excellent experience is higher than it was five yrs ago. But Seriously this one item should be at the top of the list next to hygiene. If ya fresh out, pick more than one size if ya gotta hit the store before an appointment. fyi, not every magnum is made to fit an oil can (or beer can LOL). And gents, liquid bandaid is not an alternative choice. (Don’t ask, I’m choosing to have sudden amnesia)

My biggest pet peeve would be wat or wot or wut instead of WHAT. The word “what” doesn’t need abbreviation or to become short hand. It’s four letters.... I can understand if there is a language barrier or you are fluent in typonese like myself as a result of a physical handicap, voice to text, spell check has a concussion again, or even dyslexia. When I see wat, wot, wut I see lazy and careless if the other issues I just listed aren’t in play. Watch out for those homophones and homographs, they are indeed tricky. Especially if English is not the persons first language.
